How to prepare & recover.

MOXI™ is gentle with minimal downtime, but a little prep before and a few simple steps after make a meaningful difference in your results.

Pre-care

Before your treatment

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for 2-4 weeks prior to your treatment
  • Apply a daily sunscreen with SPF 30 or greater and reapply as needed
  • Passive sun exposure is acceptable, but tanning - outside or in a tanning bed - is not. You cannot be treated with a sunburn, a recent tan, or self-tanner on your skin
  • Stop the following 7 days prior: topical retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin, adapalene), vitamin C, glycolic acid and salicylic acid
  • Avoid dermal filler for 1 month, and Botox for 2 weeks, prior to treatment
Post-care

After your treatment

  • The treated area may feel extremely warm for 1-2 hours, and warmth can continue for 12-24 hours
  • Redness is normal - keep your skin moisturized
  • Cleanse with a gentle cleanser and avoid any scrubbing or exfoliation
  • Use cool compresses as needed for comfort and swelling
  • Apply SPF 30-50 daily, and avoid direct sunlight for 14 days post-treatment
  • No hot tubs, saunas or intense workouts for 24-48 hours
  • Avoid for 7 days post-treatment: topical retinoids (Retin-A, tretinoin, adapalene), vitamin C, glycolic acid, salicylic acid and petroleum-based products
